Teatr Ludowy Kraków

Teatr Ludowy w Krakowie, usytuowany na osiedlu Teatralnym 34 w Nowej Hucie, to ważna instytucja kulturalna od 1955 roku. Budynek teatru został zaprojektowany przez Janusza i Martę Ingardenów oraz Jana Dąbrowskiego. Początkowo nosił nazwę Teatr Kameralny i debiutował spektaklem "Krakowiacy i Górale" Wojciecha Bogusławskiego. Miał być częścią nowohuckiego teatru, lecz z biegiem lat stał się samodzielną sceną.

Przed powstaniem Teatru Ludowego działał amatorski teatr robotniczy "Nurt", kierowany przez Jana Kurczabę. Po uzyskaniu statusu zawodowego w 1953 roku, działał do 1954 roku.

Teatr Ludowy zdobył szybko popularność wśród mieszkańców Krakowa, a jego widownia była często wypełniona w ponad 80%. Poza głównym budynkiem, teatr organizuje także spektakle na Scenie Pod Ratuszem przy Rynku Głównym 1.

W 2004 roku powstała Scena Stolarnia, najmłodsza scena Teatru Ludowego, zlokalizowana na parterze budynku na os. Teatralnym 23.
