Pałac Wiecherta

Pałac Wiecherta, zbudowany w 1893 roku w Starogardzie Gdańskim, znajduje się przy ulicy Kanałowej 21. Od 1996 roku jest wpisany do rejestru zabytków. Pałac składa się z dwóch skrzydeł: parterowego, neoklasycystycznego skrzydła zachodniego z 1882 roku oraz reprezentacyjnego piętrowego skrzydła południowo-wschodniego w stylu neorenesansowym, wybudowanego w 1893 roku. Wnętrza pałacu, choć częściowo przebudowane, zachowały wiele oryginalnych elementów, w tym bogato zdobioną salę na piętrze z plafonem, malowidłami neorenesansowymi i drewnianymi płaskorzeźbami. Fasada budynku ozdobiona jest rzeźbami pięciu kobiet, w tym kopią rzeźby Venus Italica. Pałac, wybudowany przez kupca Franciszka Wiecherta, pozostawał w rękach rodziny Wiechertów do 1945 roku, a po wojnie pełnił funkcje publiczne. Obecnie jest prywatną własnością.
